Join us for the Return of the Challenged Champions Golf Tournament
The Challenged Champions Golf Tournament is back for its second annual event, bringing together community members, sponsors, athletes, and supporters for a meaningful day on the course, all in support of adaptive athletes across Central New York. Hosted by Syracuse Prosthetic & Orthotic Center, this year’s tournament will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026, at The Pompey Club.
More than just a golf outing, the Challenged Champions Golf Tournament was created to directly support individuals pursuing active lifestyles through adaptive prosthetic care, mobility solutions, and athletic opportunities. Every registration, sponsorship, and donation helps expand access to life-changing equipment and support for local athletes.
This year’s event continues to build on the momentum and impact of the inaugural tournament, inviting businesses and community members alike to “Play with Purpose” while helping adaptive athletes thrive both on and off the field of competition.
One of the athletes highlighted this year is Mercy, a below-knee amputee and adaptive climber whose journey began through the adaptive climbing community at Central Rock Gym in Syracuse. With the help of a specialized climbing socket funded through the Challenged Champions Fund, Mercy transformed her passion into competitive achievement, even competing at the USA Climbing Para Climbing National Championships in Texas. Her story is a powerful example of how access to the right prosthetic care and community support can unlock new possibilities.
Participants in this year’s tournament can enjoy a full day of golf, networking, and community engagement. The event includes breakfast sandwiches, green fees, carts, and a steak dinner, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.
The tournament offers multiple sponsorship opportunities for local businesses looking to support adaptive athletes while increasing their visibility within the community. Sponsorship levels range from Hole Sponsor opportunities to premier Dinner Sponsor packages, all designed to create meaningful impact while aligning businesses with a mission-driven cause.
As the Challenged Champions Golf Tournament enters its second year, Syracuse Prosthetic & Orthotic Center remains committed to helping individuals stay active, pursue their goals, and overcome limitations through innovation, care, and community support.
